Aunt Minnie'S Crisp Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. shortening
    2 c. brown sugar
    2 eggs
    2 Tbsp. water
    1 tsp. vanilla
    3 1/2 c. flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. salt
    1 c. chopped peanuts
    decorative sugars or frosting
Preparation
    Cream sugar and shortening.
    Beat in eggs, water and vanilla. Combine flour, baking powder, soda and salt; add to creamed mixture.
    Add nuts.
    Roll out on floured board; cut.
    Sprinkle on decorative sugars, if desired.
    Bake for 8 to 10 minutes at 375\u00b0. Cookies should be golden brown.
    Cool.
    Frost if desired.
