Cry Baby Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. shortening
    1 c. sugar
    3 eggs
    5 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. cloves
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    2 tsp. ginger
    2 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. salt
    1 c. molasses
    2/3 c. hot water
    1 tsp. vinegar
    1 c. raisins
Preparation
    Into a 2-cup measuring cup, pour molasses, hot water and vinegar.
    Beat shortening, sugar and eggs until creamy.
    Add flour and spices alternately with liquids.
    Add raisins.
    Batter is stiff and doesn't melt much in cooking.
    Place on a greased pan.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 10 minutes.
    Frost if you like.
    Rich in iron and good for babies, and teens, and adults!
