Banana Nut Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/4 c. flour
    1 2/3 c. sugar
    1 1/4 tsp. baking powder
    1 1/4 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. salt
    2/3 c. shortening
    2/3 c. buttermilk
    3 eggs
    1 1/4 c. mashed bananas
    2/3 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Cream shortening and sugar.
    Add eggs and mashed bananas. Mix the dry ingredients and add to the mixture.
    Alternate with the buttermilk.
    Add chopped nuts and pour into two loaf pans and bake at 350 degrees for 45 to 50 minutes.
