Fresh Apple Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
2 eggs
2 c. flour
1 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 Tbsp. buttermilk
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped pecans
1 Tbsp. flour
1 c. peeled and grated apples
1 1/2 Tbsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
Preparation

Cream together 1 cup sugar and shortening. Add eggs, one at a time, and beat well.
Combine 2 cups flour, soda and salt. Combine buttermilk and vanilla.
Add dry ingredients to creamed mixture alternately with buttermilk mixture.
Combine pecans and 1 tablespoon flour.
Stir pecans and apples into mixture.
Pour into greased and floured 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan.
Combine 1 1/2 tablespoons sugar and cinnamon.
Sprinkle over batter.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour.
