Ingredients

1 c. sugar
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. butter or margarine, softened
2 eggs
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
3 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
12 oz. chocolate chips
Preparation

Place sugar, brown sugar, butter, eggs and vanilla in bowl. Mix for about 30 seconds.
Stop and scrape bowl.
Mix for another 30 seconds.
Sift flour, salt and baking soda together.
Slowly add flour mixture to sugar mixture, stirring slowly.
Increase speed; beat a little longer.
Add chocolate chips.
In teaspoonfuls, drop onto a greased pan about 2 inches apart.
Bake at 375\u00b0 until brown.
Yields 3 1/2 dozen.
