Bishop Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 1/2 c. flour
1 Tbsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
4 oz. German sweet chocolate
2 c. pecans, finely chopped
1 c. dates, chopped
1 c. maraschino cherries, drained and chopped
4 eggs
1 1/4 c. sugar
Preparation

Sift the flour, baking powder and salt together.
Cut chocolate into small pieces.
Add chocolate, nuts, dates and cherries to flour mixture.
Beat eggs with mixer until foamy.
Add sugar gradually, beating until eggs are thick and light.
Add flour mixture; mix well.
Turn mixture into greased 9 x 5 x 3-inch pan.
Bake at 325\u00b0 for 1 1/2 hours.
Cool and slice.
