Southern Spoon Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. milk
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. sugar
    1 1/4 c. corn meal
    3 eggs
    3 tsp. baking powder
    2 Tbsp. water
    2 Tbsp. butter
Preparation
    Heat milk, salt and sugar to moderate temperature.
    Add corn meal to milk mixture and cook as mush.
    Beat together remaining ingredients while cooking mush.
    When good and thick add egg mixture, beat well.
    Pour into greased casserole dish.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 25 to 30 minutes.
    Serve hot from the oven.
