Ingredients

1 c. butter
2 c. sugar or light brown
3 eggs, beaten to froth
1/3 c. milk
1 Tbsp. vanilla
5 c. flour plus 1/2 for rolling out
1 Tbsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
plain or colored sugar (for decorating)
Preparation

Lightly grease a 15 x 12 x 1-inch cookie sheet.
In a large bowl, cream the 1 cup of butter.
Gradually add the sugar, beating until fluffy.
