Banana Nut Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. shortening
    3/4 c. sugar
    2 c. sifted flour
    1 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. lemon juice
    1 c. mashed bananas
    1 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Blend shortening with sugar until creamy.
    Sift dry ingredients together and add to the creamed mix, blending well. Add mashed bananas, lemon juice and nuts.
    Bake in 3 well-greased No. 2 cans (average size can in the home).
    Fill cans only 1/2 full.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for about 50 minutes.
