Ingredients

1 c. butter (real)
1 c. powdered sugar
2 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. sifted flour
1/2 tsp. soda
1 c. oatmeal
Preparation

Cream butter and add sugar gradually; cream until fluffy.
Add vanilla and flour with soda mixed in; add oatmeal.
Chill 30 minutes and then roll dough in log shape.
Then roll log in chocolate decors or shots.
Cut into 1/4-inch slices.
Bake on foil covered cookie sheet at 325\u00b0 for 15 to 20 minutes.
Makes 4 dozen.
