Indian Fry Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. flour
    2 Tbsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. salt
    2 c. water (cold)
    lard or vegetable oil
Preparation
    In a bowl, mix dry ingredients.
    Slowly add cold water, a little at a time, until dough forms.
    Divide into balls about the size of a softball.
    On a floured surface, roll balls out into an even circle about 1/4-inch thick.
    In a large frying pan, heat lard or oil on medium heat.
    Oil should be about 1-inch deep. Place fry bread in pan.
    Flip with tongs. When lightly brown on both sides, remove and place on paper towels.
    Serve as a meal with beans, cheese or add lettuce, tomatoes to make a Navajo taco. Serve as dessert with sprinkled powdered sugar.
