Homemade Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. shortening
3 tsp. salt
1/2 c. warm water
8 c. flour
1/3 c. sugar
2 c. milk
3 pkgs. yeast
6 eggs, beaten
Preparation

Heat and melt shortening.
Add sugar, salt and milk.
Cool. Add yeast that has been dissolved in 1/2 c. warm water to cooled mixture.
Add flour, and beaten eggs alternately, beating well after each addition.
Place dough in greased bowl to rise until doubled.
Cover with cloth.
When rising is complete, punch down and put dough in 4 greased loaf pans.
Let rise, then bake at 350\u00b0 until brown.
Takes about 35-40 minutes.
Butter crust when done.
