Grandma'S Molasses Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. Crisco shortening
    1 c. sugar
    1/4 c. molasses
    1 egg
    2 tsp. baking soda
    2 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. ground cloves
    1/2 tsp. ginger
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Melt Crisco shortening in 4-quart saucepan over low heat. Remove and let cool.
    Add sugar, molasses and egg to cooled shortening; beat well.
    Sift together flour, soda, ginger, cloves, cinnamon and salt.
    Add to first mixture.
    Mix well.
    Chill 2 hours.
    Form into 1-inch balls and roll in sugar.
    Place on a greased cookie sheet 2 inches apart.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 8 to 10 minutes.
