Ingredients

1 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. shortening
1/4 c. cold coffee
1 egg
1 1/4 c. flour
2/3 c. raisins
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. ginger
1/2 tsp. allspice
1/2 tsp. soda
Preparation

Cream sugar and shortening.
Add coffee and egg.
Stir in dry ingredients and raisins.
Chill 1 hour.
Bake in 13 x 9-inch pan until done in center.
Cut into bars and glaze with powdered sugar glaze.
