3 egg whites
3/4 c. sugar
3/4 tsp. cream of tartar
3/4 tsp. vanilla
1 (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 c. finely chopped pecans
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
Butter two large cookie sheets.
Beat egg whites and cream of tartar until soft peaks form.
Add sugar, 2 tablespoons at a time, beating constantly until stiff and glossy.
Fold in vanilla, nuts and chocolate chips.
Drop by rounded spoonfuls onto a buttered cookie sheet.
Put in preheated oven, then turn oven off.
Leave in oven for several hours or overnight until crisp.
