Sugar Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. butter or margarine
    3/4 c. sugar
    1 egg
    1 tsp. vanilla extract
    3 Tbsp. milk
Preparation
    Mix together the flour, baking powder and salt.
    Cream together the butter and sugar, then beat in eggs, vanilla extract and milk.
    Stir in the flour mixture, then gradually add enough of the remaining flour to make the dough stiff enough to roll.
    Form the dough into balls.
    Chill at least 1 hour.
    Place the dough on floured surface; roll out 1/8 inch thick.
    Cut with cookie cutters and place on ungreased cookie sheets.
    Bake 8 to 10 minutes. Makes 4 dozen.
