Snack-Time Molasses Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. sifted flour
    3/4 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. Crisco
    3/4 c. sugar
    1 egg
    1/4 c. molasses
    1/2 c. moist cut coconut
    1/2 c. chopped pecans or walnuts
Preparation
    Sift flour, soda and salt.
    Blend Crisco and sugar; cream well.
    Add egg and molasses.
    Beat well.
    Blend in the dry ingredients and gradually mix well.
    Add coconut and pecans; mix well.
    Drop dough by rounded teaspoon about 2 inches apart onto greased baking sheets.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 about 10 minutes.
    Cookies may be topped with coarsely chopped nuts and coconut after 7 minutes of baking, if desired.
    Cool slightly before removing from baking sheets.
