Indian Fry Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. unsifted flour
    1 tsp. salt
    3 tsp. baking powder
    1 1/4 c. warm water
Preparation
    Mix flour, salt and baking powder.
    Add water and knead thoroughly; cover and let stand for 10 minutes.
    Make 10 or 12 balls, about 2 inches in diameter and then roll them flat and thin with a rolling pin.
    Make two slashes in the center.
    Fry on both sides in hot oil until golden brown.
    Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
