Harriet Sherrard'S Banana Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. sugar
1/3 c. Crisco
1/3 c. butter
1 egg, beaten
8 Tbsp. cold water
1 scant tsp. soda, dissolved in the water
2 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
2 large bananas or 3 small ones
Preparation

Mash bananas well with fork.
Combine ingredients, except bananas.
Add bananas.
Bake in a deep narrow loaf pan for about 1 1/4 hours.
Bake in a slow oven at 350\u00b0.
