Egg Nog - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 egg yolks
    1/2 to 1 c. sugar
    1/2 gal. milk
    1/4 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Mix with mixer and cook in double boiler; stir until thick. Cool in refrigerator.
    While cooling, whip 6 egg whites, 1/8 teaspoon salt, 1/2 cup sugar and 1 teaspoon vanilla.
    Whip until stiff.
    Pour into cooled mixture and serve with nutmeg and whipped cream.
