Banana Oatmeal Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. chopped pecans
1/3 c. uncooked oats
1/4 c. buttermilk
1/2 c. shortening
1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
3 ripe bananas, mashed
2 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation

Combine oats and buttermilk and set aside.
Cream shortening and sugar until light and fluffy.
Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Stir in bananas and oat mixture.
Combine flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Stir into batter.
Spoon batter into a greased 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 70 minutes.
