Dutch Apple Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. flour
    3 tsp. baking powder
    2 tsp. sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    1 egg
    1 c. milk
    2 tsp. butter or shortening
Preparation
    Sift flour. Add baking powder, salt and sugar. Sift again. Cut softened butter into dry ingredients as for pastry. Add beaten eggs and milk. Beat. Spread in 8 x 12 pan (greased). Press apple slices over top and sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon. Bake at 400\u00b0 for 25 to 30 minutes.
