Banana Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. bananas, mashed
    1 3/4 c. flour
    3/4 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
    1/3 c. shortening
    2/3 c. sugar
    2 eggs, well beaten
Preparation
    Sift together
    flour,
    soda,
    salt and cream of tartar. Set aside.
    Cream
    together
    shortening,
    sugar and eggs; beat until fluffy.
    Add
    flour mixture in small amounts alternately with bananas
    to
    egg
    mixture.
    Beat
    until smooth after each addition.
    Place
    in
    well-greased
    loaf
    pan and bake in 350\u00b0 oven for about
    1
    hour or until bread is done.
    Makes 1 loaf. (This Banana Bread has cake like texture and flavor and can be served as cake.)
    One
    may
    also add 1/4 cup chopped pecans to dough before baking.
    When Banana Bread is baked and hot, pour the glaze over it.
