Pineapple Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. soft shortening
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1 egg
    1 c. chopped nuts (optional)
    3 1/2 c. flour
    1 can (approximately 9 oz.) crushed pineapple with juice
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. each salt and nutmeg
Preparation
    Mix shortening, sugar
    and
    egg
    well (will look sour). Blend flour, soda,
    salt and nutmeg.
    Mix all together.
    Chill 1 hour or longer.
    Drop
    by
    rounded teaspoon approximately 2 inches apart on
    lightly
    greased
    baking sheet.
    Bake 8 to 10 minutes at 400\u00b0. Makes approximately 5 dozen.
