Hot Cheese Dip - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. finely chopped green onion
    1 clove garlic, minced
    1/2 tsp. dried tarragon, crushed
    1 Tbsp. margarine or butter
    1 tsp. cornstarch
    3/4 c. milk
    2 c. shredded American cheese
    1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, cut up
    French bread cubes or tortilla chips
Preparation
    In a saucepan cook onion, garlic, and tarragon in margarine. Stir in cornstarch.
    Add milk all at once.
    Cook and stir till thickened and bubbly.
    Gradually add cheeses, stirring till melted.
    Serve with bread or chips.
    Makes 2 cups.
