Crisscross Peanut Butter Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. shortening
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. brown sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 beaten eggs
    1 c. peanut butter
    3 c. sifted flour
    2 tsp. soda
    dash of salt
Preparation
    Thoroughly cream shortening, sugar and vanilla.
    Add eggs and beat thoroughly.
    Stir in peanut butter.
    Sift dry ingredients. Stir into creamed mixture.
    Form into tiny balls.
    Place on ungreased cookie sheet.
    Press with back of fork to make crisscross.
    Dough may also be rolled and cut, if desired.
    Bake in moderated oven at 350\u00b0 for 10 minutes.
    Makes 8 dozen.
