Cornmeal Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. butter or margarine, softened
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. lemon extract
2 2/3 c. flour (unsifted)
1 c. yellow cornmeal
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. raisins, chopped

Preparation

Preheat oven to 400\u00b0.
Grease baking sheet.
Mix butter or margarine and sugar until creamy.
Beat in eggs and flavoring. Mix flour, cornmeal, baking powder, nutmeg and salt thoroughly. Add to creamy mixture.
Stir in raisins.
Mix well.
