Ingredients

1 1/2 sticks real butter
1 c. brown sugar
1 egg plus 1 egg yolk
4 tsp. real vanilla
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
2 c. plus 2 Tbsp. flour
2 c. chocolate chips
Preparation

Slowly melt butter being careful not to burn.
Add brown sugar while butter is still warm.
If brown sugar is clumpy, place with butter in microwave until sugar softens.
Add eggs and vanilla and beat until creamy and of a slightly lighter color.
In separate bowl, mix dry ingredients together and add to mixture.
Fold in chips.
Place 2-inch balls on ungreased sheet and bake at 325\u00b0 for about 12 to 15 minutes.
Take out and cool for one minute.
