Cranberry Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 Tbsp. shortening
2 c. flour
1 c. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. orange peel
juice of 1 orange
1 1/2 c. shredded cheese
1 egg, beaten
1 c. cranberries, halved
1/2 c. chopped nuts
Preparation

Heat oven to 350\u00b0.
Grease loaf pan, 9 x 5 x 3-inch.
Cut shortening into flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, soda and orange peel.
Add water to juice to make 3/4 cup.
Blend in with cheese and egg.
Fold in cranberries and nuts.
Bake in prepared pan 60 to 70 minutes.
Let loaf stand 8 hours before slicing.
