Ingredients

2 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. cocoa
1/2 c. milk
3 c. quick-cooking rolled oats
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Mix sugar, butter, cocoa and milk in saucepan.
Bring to boil quickly.
Reduce heat to medium and boil 3 or 4 minutes.
Remove from heat; stir in rolled oats, nuts and vanilla.
Drop by teaspoon onto waxed paper.
Let stand until hardened.
Store in refrigerator.
Makes 3 dozen cookies.
