Calypso Java Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. packaged biscuit mix
    3/4 c. brown sugar
    1/4 c. all-purpose flour
    1 Tbsp. instant coffee powder
    1/2 c. milk
    1 c. mashed banana (2 bananas)
    1 beaten egg
    1 c. snipped dates
    1/2 c. chopped walnuts
Preparation
    In mixing bowl, combine biscuit mix, brown sugar and flour. Dissolve coffee powder in milk; add all at once to dry ingredients, along with banana and egg.
    Beat until blended.
    Stir in dates and nuts.
    Grease bottoms of two 1 pound coffee cans. Divide batter between cans.
    Bake in 350\u00b0 oven for 50 minutes; cool 10 minutes.
    Loosen sides of loaves with spatula; remove from cans.
