Pumpkin Applesauce Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2/3 c. shortening
    2 1/2 c. sugar
    4 eggs
    1 c. applesauce
    1 c. pumpkin
    3 1/3 c. flour, sifted
    2 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. mace
    2/3 c. apple juice
    1 c chopped walnuts
Preparation
    Cream together shortening and sugar.
    Add eggs, one at a time. Beat well after each.
    Stir in applesauce and pumpkin.
    Sift together dry ingredients and add alternately with apple juice. Stir in chopped nuts.
    Turn into 2 greased 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pans.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour or until done.
    May be wrapped in foil and frozen.
