Wash the yams/sweet potatoes and pat dry with a paper towel.
Lightly oil the skins of the yams/sweet potatoes with the olive oil.
Bake at 400 degrees for approximately an hour, or til tender.
Carefully peel the skins off of the sweet potatoes and serve with butter.
Roast Yams/Sweet potatoes @ 375 for 45 minute.
Peel Bananas and quarter.
Roast Bananas in greased pan @ 375 10 minute.
Scoop out Yams from skins.
add Bananas to Yams/Sweet Potatoes.
add remaining ingredients (not zest).
whip Yam/Potato mixture until creamy.
Grate Zest of lime over top of mixture.
If using fresh yams/sweet potatoes: Cook whole sweet potatoes in water until the potatoes are soft
ash and scrub the sweet potatoes.
Cut each sweet potato into bite
o 400\u00b0.
Prick sweet potatoes with a fork and place
Peel sweet potatoes or yams. Cut into thick slices.
Rinse in cold water.
Cover sweet potatoes or yams with water (use small amount of water as potatoes already have water in them). Bring to a boil (30 minutes). Add all the ingredients except for the marshmallows and butter.
When potatoes are done, sprinkle with marshmallows and butter and heat until marshmallows and butter are melted slightly.
Peel sweet potatoes or yams.
Split in half lengthwise.
Make syrup of water, sugar, margarine and nutmeg.
Place sweet potatoes or yams in syrup.
Lower stove to medium and cook until soft.
Can be made ahead and reheated.
Delicious with ham.
Recipe can be doubled or halved.
1. Preheat Oven to 350 degrees F.
2. Drain Yams, reserving syrup.
3. Place yams side by side into a 8\" x 8\" baking dish.
4. Mix the marmalade with the reserved syrup.
5. Boil the mixture, stirring constantly, until it is the consistency of corn syrup.
6. Pour over the sweet potatoes.
7. Dot butter over top.
8. Sprinkle the top with coconut.
9. Bake 10 minutes covered with foil . remove foil and bake 5-10 minutes longer or until the coconut is golden.
Peel and quarter the yams or sweet potatoes.
Place all of the ingredients into a large pot and cook the potatoes on top of the stove over medium heat and stirring every so often until potatoes are soft.
Also, don't be afraid of adding more brown sugar and/or orange juice if needed. The ingredients need to cover the potatoes.
Mash sweet potatoes/yams with 1/4 cup butter or margarine and 1/2 can of sweetened condensed milk.
Mash until all lumps are gone and mixture is very smooth.
Spread into 9 x 13-inch dish. Combine brown sugar, 1/2 cup butter and remaining milk in a saucepan over low heat.
Heat and stir until mixture is smooth and creamy.
Pour over potatoes.
Sprinkle top with chopped pecans. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 40 minutes.
Cook yams in boiling water to cover for 30 minutes or until tender.

In a small bowl, mix the orange juice with the cinnamon and vanilla.
Place the yams or sweet potatoes in an ovenproof dish, pour the juice mixture over, and top with the orange slices.
Cover with a lid or foil and put in the oven for 50 minutes, or until they are tender.
Cut them crosswise into 1/4 inch slices.
Serve hot or cold as a side dish.
Cover sweet potatoes or yams with water and boil until tender (test with fork).
Remove skins and mash sweet potatoes until smooth.
Add canned cream or milk to the consistency you like. Add 2 or 3 tablespoons butter.

Save a little melted butter and applesauce for bottom of pan.
Bake at 375\u00b0 for about 45 minutes until lightly browned.

Peel and cut sweet potatoes or yams in half, and parboil 10 minutes.
Drain and place in buttered baking dish.
Dot the potatoes with butter, and sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon.
Add water.
Bake 30 minutes or until tender in a 350\u00b0 oven.
Check and baste with own juice often.
Serves 6.

Take off skins and slice in half lengthwise.
Combine the butter, brown sugar, orange zest and orange juice and melt in microwave.
Partially cook the sweet potatoes or yams in boiling water.
Drain, peel and slice in quarters.
Place in glass pan and pour liquids over.
Bake at 375\u00b0 for 20 to 25 minutes.
Scrub sweet potatoes clean under running water.
Poke holes ( all over) in the potatoes with a fork.
Bake at 350 degrees f for about 1 hour or until they are soft ( place potatoes directly on rack withour wrapping n foil).
Put butter in dish on table.
Put brown sugar in dish on table.
Score the sweet potatoes down the middle.
Serve to everone and have each person put butter and brown sugar ( to liking ) on the potato.
Eat.
