For the TAMALE CAKES coarsely puree 1 cup
Mix all ingredients for tamale balls in large bowl. Form into small balls and layer into large roaster pot.
Mix all ingredients for sauce and pour over tamale balls.
Cook over medium heat 50-60 min., covered.
Mix all ingredients except tamales in crockpot and heat until melted.
Remove corn husks from tamales and crumble into melted cheese mixture. Frozen or canned tamales are fine. Thaw if frozen.
Have a bowl of tortilla or corn chips available to scoop up dip or warm flour or corn tortillas so they can use as a filling.
To make it more figure friendly I like to also serve this with fresh veggies like shredded lettuce and chopped tomato! Makes a great and different taco (tamale) salad.

Prepare a stew of onions and tomatoes, chop the meat and toss with carrots and peas.
Cook cabbage leaves in water without being too soft, remove from water and drain.
Take each leaf and fill it with stew, tie the top and place in a pot. Spread each tamale with butter and cover with tomato juice and bring to medium heat until well seasoned.

Chicken Tamale Filling:
Heat oil in

Remove papers and slice tamales crosswise; set aside.
Combine tamale sauce, flour, chili powder and garlic salt.
Add eggs, corn, olives and tamales.

Bake in a 350\u00b0 oven 40 minutes or until set. Sprinkle cheese on top and bake 3 minutes or until cheese melts.
Preheat oven to 350\u00b0F.
Shuck husks off tamales and place, single layer, in a 9x13 baking dish.
Mix all other ingredients (except for shredded cheddar cheese for top) until well blended. It will have a very soupy consistency.
Pour over tamales and bake for 30 minutes or until bubbling hot.
Sprinkle w/ cheddar cheese and bake a few more minutes until melted.
Serve hot!
