Rinse sauerkraut with warm water in colander, drain well. Place in heavy saucepan or pot with the butter and seasonings (salt, pepper, caraway seed, juniper berries, onion, apple, whatever you like).
Cover pan tightly, simmer over lowest heat 15 to 30 minutes.
Add liquid (omit salt if bouillon is the liquid). Cook 30 minutes to 1 1/2 hours longer, according to your taste. Makes 6 servings.
Season chops w/ seasoning salt and brown chops in butter-get them golden brown. Do not worry about them being undercooked.
Brown brats-you can brown them with chops if you are a multi-task person.
Using a large skillet with a lid, place bacon slices in bottom, top with 1/2 of sauerkraut and 1 Tbs. caraway seed.
Put the brats around the outside edge of pan and chops in the middle. Top with sliced onion.
Top with remaining kraut and caraway seed.
Pour beer over all and cover.
Simmer for one hour.
Eat.
Remove roast from freezer.
Remove all wrappings.
Place in a crock pot, fat side up.
Pour water over just to cover half of roast.
Add seasonings.
Put lid on crock pot and turn on low.
After 7 hours add sauerkraut around the sides.
(If you desire to brown remove from crock pot at this point and place in oven at 350).
Ready to eat after sauerkraut is heated through.

Put the lean pork steaks (I try to make them fairly thin steaks as this is a quick recipe) in the bottom of an oven proof dish.
Lay the sliced mushrooms over the top of the steaks and then top with the sauerkraut.
Pour the water into the dish and then put the dish into the oven and cook for between 30 to 40 minutes depending on the thickness of your pork.

In a large bowl, mix ingredients in order given.
Lightly grease 3- 1 1/2 quart casserole dishes or 1-9x13 pan.
Divide bean and sauerkraut mixture evenly between the baking dishes and cover with foil or lids.
Bake for 2 hours at 350\u00b0F Adding a little water when beans seem a little dry.
Serve as a side for meat patties or along side of baked macaroni and cheese. Might also be good over toast or rice.
Mix to combine spices for the taco seasoning. Heat skillet on medium heat and add oil. Add turkey and cook over medium to medium high heat while breaking up the meat with a spatula. After 3-4 minutes add chopped garlic and taco seasoning.
Continue to cook until turkey is done.
Usually you will want to use half the taco seasoning from the above recipe and save the remaining for another taco night. For stronger taco flavor use more seasoning.
To prepare tacos, use leaf lettuce as a taco shell and add condiments as you choose.

In a separate bowl, mix ground meat, onions, rice, smoked ham and seasoning.
Spread mixture on top of sauerkraut in the casserole pan, then on top spread the remaining sauerkraut.
Pour the tomato juice on top of sauerkraut evenly, then sprinkle dill and thyme.
Cook in oven at 350\u00b0 for 2 to 2 1/2 hours.
Serve with sour cream.
