Using the original Rice Krispies Treats recipe, add caramel topping to melted marshmallow mixture at step 1 just before adding cereal.
Follow remaining directions in steps 2 and 3. Put in freezer for 30 minutes and then cut in 2 x 2-inch squares.
Yields 24 treats.
Sprinkle chopped, mixed dried fruit in the bottom of a 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan coated with cooking spray.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Combine flour and garlic powder. Mix in chicken broth and vegetable(s). Add enough cold water to form a ball. Rinse and drain cherries. Place in a large mixing bowl. Pour sugar over cherries. and then pour flour over the cherries. Add almond extract, lemon juice and condensed milk. Beat together and let stand for a few minutes. Prepare the pastry shell, either home made or refrigerator. Roll out the pastry shell and place in a pie pan. Add the filling. Take the top pastry and cut it into 1 inch strips. Weave to cover pie. Sprinkle with sugar and bake at 450 degrees for 10 minutes, then hake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes.
