Place ham in slow cooker with the fattier side facing down. Use toothpicks to attach pineapple rings to the ham. Pour juice from the can over the ham. Pour the cola into the slow cooker.
Cook on Low 7 to 10 hours.

This will have to be made in a large crock-pot.
Don't forget to stir occasionally.
Combine water, peas, ham steak, ham hock, and bay leaves in slow cooker. Microwave onions, celery, carrots, butter and spices until onions are soft, about 5 minutes. Transfer to slow cooker. Cover and cook until peas are tender, 8 - 9 hours on low or 5 - 6 hours on high.

Layer ingredients in slow cooker in the order listed.
Pour in water. Do not stir!
