In a large saucepan, cook ground beef at medium-high heat, stirring
In a large frying pan, cook ground beef.
Add onion and cabbage and cook until tender. Put ground beef mixture into large pot and add tomato juice, frozen vegetables, water, salt, pepper, parsley and bay leaf.
Bring to a boil and simmer until vegetables are tender.
Bring soup to a boil again.
Add noodles and simmer until noodles are done.
You may add more water if you like it that way.
Combine all ingredients in heavy container with top.
Cook until ground beef is done, about 30 minutes.
Then chop meat into large pieces.
Put top back on and cook about 20 minutes longer.
Brown ground beef and mix with all ingredients in crock-pot and cook for 6 hours. Before serving, add 1 cup of cooked macaroni and 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese if desired.

Cook noodles according to package directions.
When they are tender, drain them and toss them with 2 tablespoons butter- Put the noodles in a 2-quart casserole.
Melt 2 tablespoons butter in a large skillet.
Add the onions and mushrooms and sauce for 5 minutes, stirring continuously.
Add ground beef and cook and stir until meat is browned.
Add almonds, soup, sour cream, salt, pepper and brandy.
Spoon meat mixture over the noodles in the casserole.
Bake uncovered for 30 minutes at 375 degrees.

During cooking, stir twice to break up meat.
Combine water, tomato sauce, soup mix and salt.
Mix well.
Pour over dish halfway around after 5 minutes. After 10 minutes, stir.
Cook another 5 to 6 minutes or until noodles are tender.
Total cooking time: 20 minutes.
Recipe yields: 4 to 6 servings.
