Sift flour with salt, baking powder, baking soda, nutmeg, allspice, cardamon and pepper.
Blend in crushed anise seed.
Stir into honey mixture.

Heat oven to 350\u00b0. Line an 8 or 9-inch square baking pan with foil. Lightly grease foil. Beat butter, honey and vanilla in a large bowl with electric mixer until well blended.
