Whisk together vinegar, lemon juice, oil, mustard, worcestershire, garlic and pepper.
Whisk in water.
Taste and add honey and or salt only if necessary.

Creamy Rice Pudding - Bonnie Stern

Bring water to a boil in a large saucepan. Add rice. Cover and return to the boil. Reduce to simmering and cook, covered, for 15 minutes or until water is absorbed.
Combine sugar, cornstarch and salt in a bowl. Whisk in 1 cup of the milk stirring until smooth.
Add sugar mixture, remaining 4 cups of milk, nutmeg and raisins to the rice. Stir well and bring to a boil.
Reduce to the lowest simmer setting, and cook, covered for 1 - 1-1/2 hours, or until mixture is creamy and tender. Stirring occasionally. Stir in vanilla.

Bonnie'S Best Banana Bread - Bonnie Stern

Preheat oven to 350*.
In a small bowl combine bananas with buttermilk and baking soda.
In a medium sized bowl beat butter with brown sugar until light. Beat in egg and vanilla.
In yet another bowl combine flour with baking powder and salt.
Add flour to butter mixture alternately with buttermilk/bananas beginning and ending with flour.
Transfer to a 6 cup/1.5L loaf pan lined with parchment paper.
Bake for 50 to 60 minutes.

Spicy Shepherd'S Pie With Feta Potato Topping

Irish Breakfast Fruit Crisp

Combine apples, pears, prunes, apricots, cherries, maple syrup and 1/4 cup apple juice.
Place in 8-cup baking dish.
For topping, combine rolled oats, flour, bran, brown sugar and cinnamon.
Stir in melted margarine or butter and 1/3 cup juice.
Spoon over fruit.
Bake in preheated 350 oven for 50 to 60 minutes, or until fruit is very tender and topping is crisp.

Melt dark chocolate over gentle heat.
Combine marshmallows, cereal, cookies, peanuts and cherries.
Pour the melted chocolate over nut/cereal mixture and combine well.
Spoon mixture onto waxed paper lined baking sheets in mounds that resemble (very roughly) little mountains.
Melt white chocolate. Spoon some white chocolate on each cookie and let it run down the \"peak\" like snow caps on a mountain. Makes 38 cookies.

Spatchcock Chicken With Paprika And Olive Oil - Bonnie Stern

Cut out back bone from chicken. Open flat and remove breast bone. If you wish, cut slits in the skin between the white and dark meat and insert chicken drumsticks for a neat presentation.
In a bowl combine olive oil, paprika, salt, pepper and garlic. Place chicken in the dish or plastic bag and coat well. Marinate 10 minutes at room temperature or up to overnight in the refrigerator.
To roast, place chicken, skin side up, on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Roast in a preheated 375F (190C) oven for approximately 45 minutes to ...

Bonnie Stern'S Extra-Large Apricot Oatmeal Cookies

Cream butter until light, then beat in brown and white sugars.
Add egg, water and vanilla and mix in.
In a large bowl combine flour with baking soda and salt; stir in rolled oats; stir into batter.
Add apricots.
Using 3 tbsp batter for each cookie, place them on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper.
Flatten cookies and bake in preheated 350F oven for 14 to 17 minutes.
Cool on racks.
Cookies should be crispy around the edges and chewy in the middle.

Pork Tenderloin With Apricot Glaze

Pat pork dry.
Combine jam, mustard, vinegar and Worcestershire sauce.
Coat pork with glaze.
Place pork on rack set over foil-lined baking sheet.
Roast in preheated 375\u00b0F oven for 40 to 50 minutes, or until cooked through (internal temperature about 160 F).

Sole With Lemon And Capers - Bonnie Stern

Rinse the fillets and pat dry. Lightly season with salt and pepper.
Dredge fillets in flour, then dip into the beaten egg. Re-dip into flour.
Heat oil in a large skillet and cook fish for about 3 minutes on each side. Remove to a plate and keep warm.
Drain any excess oil from the skillet. Return to the heat, adding the lemon juice and capers. Deglaze the pan while scraping any browned bits into the sauce.
Remove from heat and add the pepper and parsley. Pour over fillets and serve.

Sweet Cornbread - Bonnie Stern

In a large bowl, combine flour, cornmeal, baking powder, salt and sugar.
In a separate bowl, combine eggs, oil and buttermilk.
Add egg mixture to the large bowl and combine. Add corn and jalapeno, if using. Stir until all ingredients are moistened.
Transfer batter to an oiled 13 x 9 baking dish. Bake in a preheated 350*F oven for 35 minutes, or until bread springs back when pressed in center or a cake tester comes out clean.
Cool for 20 minutes before cutting.

In a large bowl, cream butter with both sugars. Beat in egg, vanilla and almond extracts.
In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking soda and salt.
Add flour mixture to the butter mixture, and stir Stir in oats and walnuts, if using.
Roll dough into small balls, about 1 tbsp each. Place balls on parchment lined baking sheets and press very flat with a fork or flat bottom of a glass dipped in flour.
Bake in a preheated 350*F oven for 8 - 12 minutes.
