Cook the manicotti shells according to the directions
Set aside. Brown the mild Italian Sausage and rinse in the
Saute meat, onion and green pepper. Drain off fat. Add tomato paste, water, salt, pepper, sugar and seasoning.
Simmer for 15 minutes. Parboil manicotti in salted water for 4 minutes. Drain on paper towels. Fill shells with combined cottage cheese and Mozzarella cheese.
Place shells in shallow greased baking dish. Cover with sauce.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 20 to 30 minutes.
