I have found that the best chocolate chip cookie recipe is on the Nestle chocolate chips package.

Bring sugar, cocoa, shortening and milk to boil; boil for 2 minutes.
In a bowl, mix oatmeal and coconut or pecans.
Mix all ingredients and drop on wax paper.

Add eggs and flavor, and beat well.

Cream butter, sugar and eggs.
Beat well and add oil.
Add other ingredients.
Drop by teaspoon on greased cookie sheet. Flatten with fork; bake 15 to 20 minutes at 350\u00b0.
Cream the butter and both sugars.
Add eggs and vanilla.
Mix together with flour, oatmeal, salt, baking powder and soda. Add chips, candy and nuts. Refrigerate for 1/2 hour.
Roll into balls and place 2-inches apart on cookie sheet.
Bake for 6 minutes at 375\u00b0.

Save egg yolks for icing.
Mix dry ingredients in smaller bowl.
Add shortening, sugars, egg whites, and whole egg and add to oatmeal mixture.
Add dry ingredients.
Add vanilla and mix thoroughly.
Pour into 9 x 13-inch pan.
Bake 30 minutes at 350\u00b0. Top with Oatmeal Cake Icing (recipe follows).

In a large bowl, mix cookie mix, egg, 4 tbsp butter and grated almond paste until combined. Roll into 52 balls and place 2 inches apart on parchment-lined baking sheets. Flatten slightly then bake for 7-8 mins. Let cool completely on wire racks.
Meanwhile, in a mixer, beat cream cheese, remaining butter and vanilla until smooth. Gradually add sugar until combined. Spoon 1/2 tbsp cream cheese onto 26 cookies. Sandwich with remaining cookies.
