Place roast in preheated oven at 350\u00b0.
Pour about half the 7 and 7 drink over all.
Salt and pepper to taste.
Roast 45 minutes.
Remove from oven.
Pat brown sugar over the entire roast.
Place orange slices over roast and secure with toothpick. Pour remainder of 7 and 7 over roast.
Return to oven and continue to bake until desired doneness, basting every 15 to 20 minutes. Makes absolutely wonderful gravy.

Heat applesauce and stir in dry jello.
Remove from heat and stir in 7-Up.
Let sit a few minutes to let foam disappear.

This is a very firm jello and slices well.
For the pesto, puree the tomatoes, Parmesan cheese, hazelnuts, chili paste and 7-8 tbsp olive oil in a blender. Season to taste and set aside.
Fry the bacon until crisp, remove and set aside. Add the remaining oil and saute the onion, garlic, thyme and cabbage. Pour in the stock and simmer for 12-15 mins. Add the nutmeg and season to taste.
Meanwhile, cook the pasta in boiling salted water according to the package directions. Drain then toss with the bacon and the cabbage. Stir in a dollop of pesto and serve garnished with thyme.
