Heavenly Hash Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large can fruit cocktail
    1 c. pineapple tidbits
    2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1/4 c. sugar
    2 egg yolks
    1 carton Cool Whip
    1/4 c. chopped nuts
    2 c. miniature marshmallows
    1 c. mandarin oranges, drained
Preparation
    Drain well, reserving syrup from fruit cocktail and pineapple. Combine in saucepan the cornstarch and 1/4 cup sugar.
    Mix well. Combine and add the egg yolks and 1 cup reserved syrup.
    Blend well.
    Cover over medium heat, stirring constantly, until thickened.
    Cool thoroughly.
    Fold in Cool Whip, chopped nuts, marshmallows, pineapple, fruit cocktail and mandarin oranges. Cover and chill several hours or overnight.
