Colby Cheese Fondue - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    11/2 C dry Fiesling or Pinot Grigio wine
    1 lbs. Colby cheese-shredded (4cusp) 1/2t garlic powder
    1/4 t salt
    1/4 t black pepper
    1/4 t cayenne pepper Pinch nutmeg
    3 T cornstarch
    3 T water
    1 sourdough baguette or 1 plain baguette cut in bite size-chunks
    2 sweet apples-Gala or Golden delicious cored and sliced
Preparation
    1. Bring wine to a simmer in medium non-aluminum pan over medium heat. Add cheese, stirring until melted, mix will not be smooth ,stir in spices.

    2. Mix cornstarch and water until smooth, stir in wine-cheese mixture, simmer over low heat until thickened and smooth about 2 min. Serve immediately with bread ro apple slices. Keep warm over very low flame.
