Old Fashioned Hamburgers - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 lbs. ground round or sirloin
    3 pieces of stale white bread, broken into small pieces or shreds
    1 onion, grated
    1/2 c. evaporated milk
    2 eggs
    1 1/2 t. salt (seasoned?)
    dash of pepper
Preparation
    Mix the eggs and milk together in small bowl, pour over the bread and mix together. Loosely combine meat, onion, salt and pepper, then add milk and bread mixture. Mix well, then make burgers, being careful not to compact the ingredients any more than necessary so the burgers remain juicy. Grill or fry to desired doneness, 3-5 min per side depending on thickness.
