Apple Fool - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    7 oz stewed apple
    1 cup prepared custard
    1 1/4 cups heavy cream
    2 tbsp powdered sugar
    None None slivered almonds, chopped, to serve
Preparation
    Combine stewed apple and custard. Set aside.
    Whip cream to soft peaks. Add sugar, beating until combined.
    Spoon apple mixture and whipped cream alternatively into 6 glasses. Chill until required. Serve topped with almonds.
