Bananarama Cake - cooking recipe

4 None overripe bananas, mashed, plus extra, sliced, to decorate
12 1/2 tbsp butter, softened
1 tsp vanilla extract
2/3 cup granulated sugar
2 None eggs
1 tbsp milk
1/2 cup self-rising flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 cup powdered sugar
4.5 oz cream cheese
1 tsp lemon zest
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0F. Grease and line a deep 8 inch cake pan with parchment paper.
Mix together bananas, 1/2 cup butter, vanilla, sugar, eggs and milk in a large bowl. Sift flour and baking soda over top then beat until pale and creamy. Transfer to prepared pan and bake for 1 hour, or until a skewer inserted in the center comes out clean. Let cool in pan for 5 mins then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
Meanwhile, for the frosting, beat powdered sugar, cream cheese, lemon zest and remaining butter until smooth. Spread over cake then sprinkle with cinnamon. Top with sliced banana.
