Cured Sausage Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 tbsp oil
    1/4 lb traditional irish soda or other dense bread, cut into cubes
    4 tbsp white wine vinegar
    1/3 cup chives, finely chopped
    2 tbsp fresh horseradish, peeled and finely grated or 4 tbsp prepared horseradish
    1/2 lb radishes, trimmed and sliced
    1 None cucumber, sliced
    1 None onion, peeled and sliced
    5.25 oz cured sausage, sliced and chopped
    1/2 head romaine lettuce, torn
Preparation
    For the croutons, heat 2 tbsp oil in a frying pan, add the bread and toast, turning, for 3 mins.
    Meanwhile, whisk together the vinegar and remaining oil. Season to taste with salt, pepper, and sugar. Mix in the chives and horseradish. Toss with the remaining ingredients and serve sprinkled with croutons.
