Chocolate Chip Scones With Chocolate Fudge Sauce - cooking recipe

1/4 cup self-rising flour
1/2 cup cocoa powder
6 tbsp cold butter, chopped
6 oz dark chocolate chips
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup milk, plus 1 tbsp extra, to brush
7 oz dark chocolate, chopped
3/4 cup heavy cream
1 tsp vanilla extract
None None vanilla ice cream, to serve

Preheat oven to 425\u00b0F. Grease a baking tray.
Sift together flour and cocoa powder. Cut in butter until mixture resembles fine crumbs. Add chocolate chips and 2 tbsp sugar. Add milk and mix until combined. Turn out onto a lightly floured surface and knead gently. Press into a 3/4 inch disc. Cut out 14 discs (2.5 inches each). Place scones, side by side, on prepared tray. Brush with extra milk. Bake for 15-20 mins, or until scones are golden brown. Transfer to a wire rack to cool.
Meanwhile, combine chocolate, heavy cream, remaining sugar and vanilla over medium-low heat. Cook, stirring, until chocolate melts and mixture is well combined.
Serve scones with ice cream and chocolate sauce.
